Attention Commuters

Lot Closures:

Two parking lots east of the Convention Center (near the Hilton) are closed for construction.
Please see this map for instructions on how to get to the parking lots on West Street.

Road Closures:

Friday through Sunday is the
Disney Half Marathon.
SUNDAY COMMUTERS will be most impacted from the many road closures from 5am - 10am.

so you don't miss your talks.

News and Updates:

Convention Speaker Replacement:
Due to serious health reasons, Fr. Doug Lorig will be unable to speak at the upcoming Catholic Renewal Convention. SCRC President, Dominic Berardino, will replace Fr. Lorig and speak on the same scheduled topics for talks 3A, 5S, 10S.

Dominic and Fr. Doug personally collaborated in developing the outline for these presentations, and Dominic has been researching and teaching on these subjects for over four decades.

Helpful Hints

  • Open your Convention tickets promptly to verify information.
  • Check this website for the latest Convention updates
  • Bring a sweater or jacket since the air conditioning is usually on.
  • Wear comfortable shoes.
  • ATM’s are available inside and outside the Convention Center and in the Hilton Hotel lobby.

Registration

Online Registration is strongly recommended. The process is quick and helps ensure that you receive the ticket and talks you want to see. Click here to register online. Online registrants will receive a coupon for a free downloadable talk from our large selection of teachings. A coupon code will be included in your confirmation email.

Catechist Recertification Credit (New!)
The Office of Religious Education Office for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles has approved the use of SCRC Convention workshops as eligible for recertification credit.  A catechist can receive up to 15 hours of recertification credit.  Contact Dionne Grillo 213-637-7654 for info.

Prayer Ministry
Prayer Ministry is available during meal times in Hall A, in the corner by Registration, behind the blue curtains.

Liturgy of the Hours:
Daily, 8:30 am in Chapel, Room AR1 (off Arena Lobby)

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament:
Daily in Chapel, Room AR1 (off Arena Lobby)

Rosary:
Daily at start of Lunch in Convention Center Room 201

Confession:
Due to the shortage of priests, it is highly recommended that you go to Confession before arriving at the Convention.  The only times allotted for Confession:

  • Friday: 12:00 pm -1:00 pm in Hall A
  • Saturday: 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm in Hall A.

Anaheim Convention Center Exhibit Hall A
Enjoy the opportunity to shop for a wide variety of Catholic books, teaching media, music, gifts, artwork, jewelry, t-shirts, etc. Bring your Christmas list!

Food concessions are available throughout the weekend both in the Exhibit Hall and in the immediate vicinity.

Recordings
-All talks are being professionally recorded for purchase in Hall A.
-Your cooperation in helping to maintain a quiet atmosphere during the talks is appreciated.
-Kindly silence your cell phones during sessions.
-If your child becomes noisy or is crying during a talk, please take them out for a breath of fresh air.
-DVD’s of Arena talks will be available on-site at the SCRC Bookstore in Exhibit Hall A.

Convention Center Parking
-$15 each time you enter.
-No Weekend Passes
-Carpooling is advised.
-All Hotels listed on the Hotels page are within walking distance.

Special Needs
-Wheelchairs are not available at the Convention Center. Please make your arrangements prior to the weekend.
--Attendees using motorized transports assume all liability in the event of an injury or accident to themselves or someone else.
-Please notify SCRC of your special need when registering online or on your registration form in the appropriate spot so we can not Arena floor seating on your badge. Sections of the Arena floor seating are reserved for this purpose.
